Lunch
This is a small office - 17 people - and pretty much everybody goes out to lunch. Thus far, no one has invited me. This doesn’t bother me or hurt my feelings or make me sad, because I would almost certainly decline their invite (I am weird about eating with strangers) but it does seem really rude.
But if the roles were reversed, I would TOTALLY snub the new guy and enjoy my lunch without some random person in tow.
So, good on them. I should have to EARN that invite (which I will still probably decline).

At my last job everyone was like “why do you always eat alone?” and I wanted to be like “why the fuck do you eat with people?” I’ll never get people wanting to go to lunch with co workers. It’s my time to eat, not fucking talk to you.

It makes things a lot less miserable to have someone to eat with every now and then…unless all 17 people totally suck.
